Polkadoodles GDT#2

Polkadoodles GDT#2

Hi everyone, I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely bank holiday
weekend. I spent some time in the garden dead heading and cutting back
our willow trees and hedges, I can't believe just how much they've all grown
this year, maybe it's because of all the rain that we've had.
We still haven't finished decorating, we're having to fit it in with work, weather
and other family stuff, but we're in no particular hurry so we'll just keep
plodding along lol.

My post today is my second GDT make for polkadoodles, I've used
"Serenity Earthstar" image and you can find her HERE

Card Recipe
6x6 Card, Copper Bazzill Card, First Edition Boho Design Papers, Tonic NUVO
Crystal Drops, Satin Ribbon, Printable Acetate and Stardust Stickles

I coloured this gorgeous image using Pro/Flexmarkers, I then copied the image
onto the printable acetate, cut out the wings and added the stardust stickles.

I hope that you like her :)

A Special Gift

A Special Gift

Hi everyone, have you all had a lovely weekend? We had some
pretty impressive lightening storms here on the north east coast.I know that not everyone
likes thunder & lightening but I have loved them ever since I was a little girl, and these really were magnificent to watch they lit up the sky beautifully in shades of
purple, pink and blues.....stunning!!

Anyway onto a gift and card that I made for someone special. A little
jute bag which I decorated and was filled with "Pamper Yourself" goodies, a card and
matching gift tag.

I decorated the jute bag with lace trim and pearls and added a matching gift tag with an aqua
organza ribbon bow....(the blue heart is covering a personal message)

The card was made using a Sassy Studio's Image which was coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers,
I then added lots of stardust stickles to the bubbles.

I copied the coloured image and mounted it onto some Bazzill and Silver
Mirri and placed it inside the bag and made a matching gift tag to tie on the
handle, I then filled the bag with tissue paper and the "pamper yourself" goodies.

I still haven't made a start on painting the bedroom furniture yet, I'm still hoping to get some
hints and tips on updoing furniture and shabby chic-ing before I tackle it.....I think maybe
I should begin with something small and that way if I make a mess I won't have
ruined my furniture will I lol.

Polkadoodles GDT

My Fab News

Woohoo!! I'm so excited to say that I'm now GDT for Polkadoodles,
It's been so difficult for me trying to keep it to myself and not blurting it all out lol.
And here she is my very first GDT make for Polkadoodles.

Card Recipe
Taupe Bazzil, DP's from my stash, Olive green satin edged organza ribbon and
handtied bow, silver apple charm, whimsy sentiment & white pearls.

This gorgeous Polkadoodles image is called "Snow White" and you can find her

I coloured this gorgeous image using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers, I then added
Sakura Gelly Roll to highlight her hair and I also added some Glossy Accents to the apples.

The silver apple charm originally had a turquoise gem so I re-coloured it
using Cardinal Reg Promarker.

I hope that you like her as much as I do :)

Punch of Colour

Punch of Colour

Hi everyone from a very cold, damp and dreary north east coast, I hope
that mother nature's just having a wee hiccup and that our Summer's not over.
Have you all had a lovely weekend and what have you all been doing?
I'm still decorating at the moment, It's pretty slow going because now that we've got rain
the paint is taking forever to dry :( Never mind once it's all finished it will be
a good job done :) I still haven't started painting my pine furniture with chalk
paint, I wonder if any of my lovely crafty friends can offer some advice on which
paint to use or should I have a go at making the chalk paint myself??

Anyhoo while it's been raining I've found some time to have a play with one of
my  new Hannah Lynn images, this one's called "Punch of Colour #7" and you can find her

Card Recipe
Balck card, Orange Bazzill, Leopard Print Paper, Embossalicious "Dots"
embossing folder, Black Satin Ribbon and Handtied Bow, Made With Love
charm & Topaz coloured Gems

Forgot to mention Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the background

I coloured me gorgeous new image with a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers
I then added some Sakura Gelly Roll and Glossy Accents to add some
dimension.

This picture shows the Sakura Gelly Roll and Glossy Accents a little better.

I hope that you like her and please don't forget, if anyone has any advice or tips
on painting furniture in a Shabby Chic style can you let me know, I would love
to hear from you :)

My Gorgeous Gift

My Gorgeous Gift

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all having a wonderful weekend. I've been
busy re-decorating the main bedroom this past week, I've wanted to do it for some time now
but wanted to wait until now when the weather's fine. I bought a Toile de Jouy Bedspread
a little while ago now and thought that I would use this French Country theme for my
bedroom. When the decorating is finished I'm going to try my hand at up-doing my pine
bedroom furniture with Chalk Paint and Wax, I've never done this so I'm keeping my
fingers crossed that it turns out ok.

I haven't got a card to share with you all today but I do have something to share with you all.
A stunning Orgone Pendant from my very dear friend Mitzi Sato-Wiuff. A little while ago,
Mitzi told me that she was sending me a gift to help raise my spirits after I'd been feeling so down recently, she also gave me the tracking number so that I could
track it's journey across the pond. To say that I was excited would have been a bit of an
understatement lol, As the days passed my excitement grew, but when my beautiful gift
finally arrived and I carefully opened the package, I was completely bowled over by what
was inside, a stunning Orgone Pendant which contained Rose Quartz and Amethyst
along with lots of other precious stones and metals that Mitzi had commissioned someone
to make for me and a beautiful letter from her too. Thank you Mitzi for my beautiful and
very thoughtful gift, I shall treasure it always just as I do our friendship, I'm so blessed to
have a friend like you.

I also have some exciting news to tell you all in the next few days, I would tell you now
but it's top secret at the moment and very hush, hush lol, so be sure to pop back and check
out my blog over the next few days to see what my news is won't you.

Sleepy Little Bunny Elves

Sleepy Little Bunny Elves

Hi everyone, I'm sorry that I've not been around very much recently. Those
of you you know me will already know that it  was nine years ago that we
lost our beautiful daughter and as you can probably imagine it's been quite
an emotional time for us and we miss her more and more with each day that passes.
I would like to say a huge thank you for all the lovely messages and support that we've
received from family friends and my crafty friends too, they really have helped
get us through this past couple of weeks.

My post today is two cards that I made for a neighbour, who's Daughter in Law
has just been blessed with twins....a beautiful baby boy and girl  :)

It's Tidy At Last!!

Woohoo!! It's Tidy At Last

Hi everyone, I hope that you've all had a lovely weekend. I spent
mine sorting out my crafty area, And after almost 3 days it's finally
done. I can't believe just how much crafty stuff  I have, don't get me
wrong a girl can never have too much crafty stuff, but just where on
earth do you put it all LOL.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to decorate some old jars for my buttons,
and also to recover an A4 ring binder that I've filled with 6 x A4 2mm
thick perspex sheets to use to store some of my self cling stamps.
I tried to carry the Vintage Butterfly theme that's on the storage boxes
that I bought last year.

Here are my decorated button jars

I used 50mm Raw Edged Jute Ribbon which I then stamped with a butterfly
background stamp, White 25mm Scalloped Edged Lace, Garden Twine, Tag Die,
Kraft Card & Bronzed Birdcage Charm

And to cover the A4 Ring Binder I used Parcel Paper which I stamped using
a selection of freebie stamps that you get with card making magazines. I then coloured
some of the butterflies using my Promarkers.

And here is th A4 binder

And this is how my Craftyroom/Area looks after spending the weekend
sorting it all out......I wonder just how long it will stay tidy like this LOL

The Stamping Chef

Ombre

Hi everyone, my post today is a card that I made to give my friends daughter,
I have used TSC Cat Sixx image and thought that I would have a go at
the "Ombre Technique" I have to say that it's not quite how I would have
liked it to turn out, maybe I should have stuck with using acetate or glass mat
as a palate to blend and lift the colour instead of  trying to blend straight
onto the image.....never mind I know what to do next time don't I lol and
more importantly Libby loved it :)
The image is from The Stamping Chef TSC and is called

Cat Sixx

Card Recipe
6x6 white base card, hot pink bazzill, silver mirri, kanban aqua amore
damask, silver glitter card, hot pink lace, hot pink satin ribbon and hand tied bow,
hunkydory foiled sentiment, diamond glaze and silver guitar and
made with love charms

I coloured this fab image using a selection of pro/flexmarkers,
I then added some diamond glaze to her lips and the guitar.
In the next picture you can see the charms beneath the hand
tied bow more clearly.

Well I'm off now to play in the garden while the sun's shining.
I hope that you all have a fab day too :)

April

July?? No It's April

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all having a fabulous start to the week.
I spent yesterday sorting out all my Digi Images....I knew that I had
quite a few but I really got quite a shock as to just how many I do have.
Well while I was sorting them I came across some old favourites that
I'd forgot about, so I printed some of them out ready to colour up.
So my post today is a card that I made last night using one of my
Hannah Lynn images and this one's called "APRIL" and you can find her

Card Recipe
6x6 white base card, black card, silver miri, kanban aqua amore damask,
papermaina design paper, aqua satin ribbon & black gems.

I used a selection of pro/flexmarkers to colour this gorgeous image, then added
glossy accents to her eyes, lips & the leather straps on her arms which hopefully
you can see more clearly in the next picture.I also added a little crystal stickles.

I hope that you like her as much as me, I had so much fun making her :)
