Little Kitty

Little Kitty

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all having a lovely start to your week. The
weather here on the North East coast is glorious, I just love it when the sun is
shining and the little birdies are singing their little hearts out :) Speaking of
little birdies, we had a lovely (not so little) visitor the other night....while having
a late dinner/supper we heard hooting, we went outside into the garden and
low and behold sitting perched upon the telegraph pole at the bottom of our
garden was a Tawny Owl, I tried to take some photographs but unfortunately
the camera on my iphone isn't good enough for night time pictures :( but I did
manage to record the little fella hooting :)

The card I would like to share with you today is one that I made a few days ago,
it's another pocket card and pillow box made using some of the beautiful papers
from Craft and You Design this particular paper is designed by Zaneta Nawrat and
is called Vintage Time 3

Card Recipe
2 cream 6x6 cards, Craft and You Design Paper, White Lace, Pink Hand Tied Bow made with
Pink Silk Ribbon, Spellbinders Oval Die, Tassle and Ivory Pearls & Rosebuds from WOC

I really struggled with the little bow here on the pillow box and this was my third
attempt, I was all fingers and thumbs because the ribbon is 50mm wide and
the bow I needed was so tiny lol

This is the inside tag with the pretty tassel, I wanted to show you all just
how beautiful these papers are. I will most definitely be buying more of
them soon

And this is the reverse of the tag with a die cut panel

I hope that you like it :)
I will be blogging again within the next day or two with some lovely candy

Aurora Wings Challenge # 15

Aurora Wings Challenge # 15

Hi everyone, It's time for a new challenge again from Aurora Wings,
and this time our challenge theme is

Dream Wedding

I thought for my Aurora Wings DT make this time I would try something a
little bit different and opted to go for a  TraditionalChinese Style Wedding
card instead of a western style Wedding card. The image I used for my card
is from Mitzi's Aurora Wings Etsy Shop and the gorgeous image is called

Traditional Chinese Bride with Phoenix

To make this tri fold card I used the following
Black A4 card, Gold Mirri Card, Spellbinders Die, Gold Organza and Satin Striped Ribbon, Gold Peel off corners and Chinese Double Happiness Symbol

This is Mitzi's gorgeous "Traditional Chinese Bride and Phoenix" image you can find it HERE
in her Aurora Wings Etsy Shop

I coloured the image using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers in greyscale and gold colours.
I also added Sakura Gelly Roll on her headdress too.

This is the card folded and tied with the Gold Organza & Satin Striped Ribbon and instead
of my usual bow I've made a Dior Bow I was hoping to use a Chinese Knot but unfortunately
it hasn't yet arrived :(

Red and Green??

Red and Green??

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all well and are having a wonderful week. Will
any of you be watching the partial eclipse this morning? I'm not too sure if I will
be watching it or not, I wasn't lucky enough to see the Northern Lights again :(
I've been super lucky to have seen them twice already but unfortunately we had
an awful lot of cloud cover here along the North East Coast.

Anyhoo onto my post for today in which I've used one of my 'Hannah Lynn'
digi images, it seems like such a long time since I coloured one of her images
up, this image is called 'Aliah' I thought I would colour her up as a red head with
luminous green eyes.

Card Recipe
6x6 white card, lime green bazzill, basic grey's sweet threads design papers, lime green satin
ribbon & lime green pearls

I coloured this gorgeous image using pro/flexmarkers in the following colours
skin ~ coral, dusky pink, blush, almond and pastel pink
hair ~ apricot, burnt orange and burnt umber
eyes ~ soft lime, lime zest, pear green and marsh green
blooms ~ fresh bloom, rose pink and antique pink
I also used sakura gelly roll to highlight her hair

I'm off to do the weekly grocery shop. Take care and enjoy your weekend everyone.

on the North East coast. It's been glorious today so my Spring cleaning has been put
on the back burner so's to speak, well it was just too lovely a day to spend it indoors,
so I've been for a lovely walk along the sea front and I've also spent some more
time in the garden.

The card that I would like to share with you all today is my first "Jeremiah Ketner"

Golden Wedding

Golden Wedding

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all well and have had a lovely weekend.
I've been making the most of the warmish weather and have spent some
time out in the gardens getting them ready for the summer. My poor back
has been protesting today so I think I may have overdone things a little lol,
but once I got started I just lost all track of time and I really wanted to tackle
the weeds while they're small and before they start to flower and seed. I've
also bought some new slug and snail pellets that are non poisonous to birds
and animals, because we had an awful lot of snails last year so I wanted to
make sure my plants weren't munched by the little beggers this year.

It was my Mam & Dads Golden Wedding last week too and this is the
card that I made for them.

Card Recipe
6x6 Ivory Card, Prima Fairy Belle Design Papers, Gold Mirri & White Super Smooth Card,

Marianne Anja Border and Circle Dies, SU Crumb Cake Ink Pad, Tim Holtz
Distress Ink Pad, Soft Gold Berisfords Satin Ribbon & Guipure Lace

Ivory Pearls, Mulberry, Lilies, Roses, Rosebuds and Blooms from WOC, Pretty
Topper from my crafty stash and Handmade Sentiment.

I'm going to tackle some spring cleaning today, sort through wardrobes
and bag some clothes, shoes and bags up for the charity shop. I hope that
you all enjoy the rest of today.

Aurora Wings Green Fairy

Sepia Toned Fairy

Hi everyone, I hope that you are all well and are having a fab week. Well spring is
almost here, the Summer Solstice is just around the corner and then the clocks
will be going forward, Yippee I'm so pleased and I'm so looking forward to the
warmer weather and the light nights. I love Spring when everything is bursting
into life and all the beautiful and colourful Spring blooms, I also love Autumn
for more or less the same reason, the colours are just stunning. I would  absolutely
love to visit New England in the Autumn, who knows maybe one day eh.

My post today is a card that I made using one of my favourite Aurora Wings
images, she's called "Green Fairy" and you can find her HERE I thought I
would have a go at colouring her up in sepia tones and I love the way she
turned out, I hope that you do too.

Card Recipe
6x6 white base card, white card, mink card, pale gold satin card, Marianne Anja die,
Anna Griffin embossing folder, mink silk ribbon, Making Memories glitter deco brad,
SU crumb cake ink pad, Ranger liquid pearls and various sized flat back pearls.

In this picture you can see where I used the SU crumbe cake ink pad on the Marianne die cut
borders.

And in this picture you may be able to see the pale gold satin card that I used for matting, I thought that this would look better than gold or silver mirri.

I used a selection of Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour this beautiful Aurora Wings
image, I then added some liquid pearls and to add some highlights to help lift the image
I used Gelly Roll.

This picture shows the pretty Anna Griffin embossing folder detail and also the blingy
Making Memories Glittery Brad in the centre of the hand tied silk bow.
