Red and Green??

Red and Green??

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all well and are having a wonderful week. Will
any of you be watching the partial eclipse this morning? I'm not too sure if I will
be watching it or not, I wasn't lucky enough to see the Northern Lights again :(
I've been super lucky to have seen them twice already but unfortunately we had
an awful lot of cloud cover here along the North East Coast.

Anyhoo onto my post for today in which I've used one of my 'Hannah Lynn'
digi images, it seems like such a long time since I coloured one of her images
up, this image is called 'Aliah' I thought I would colour her up as a red head with
luminous green eyes.

Card Recipe
6x6 white card, lime green bazzill, basic grey's sweet threads design papers, lime green satin
ribbon & lime green pearls

I coloured this gorgeous image using pro/flexmarkers in the following colours
skin ~ coral, dusky pink, blush, almond and pastel pink
hair ~ apricot, burnt orange and burnt umber
eyes ~ soft lime, lime zest, pear green and marsh green
blooms ~ fresh bloom, rose pink and antique pink
I also used sakura gelly roll to highlight her hair

I'm off to do the weekly grocery shop. Take care and enjoy your weekend everyone.

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all having the lovely weather that we are having here
on the North East coast. It's been glorious today so my Spring cleaning has been put
on the back burner so's to speak, well it was just too lovely a day to spend it indoors,
so I've been for a lovely walk along the sea front and I've also spent some more
time in the garden.

The card that I would like to share with you all today is my first "Jeremiah Ketner"
image, she's called "ORCHID" and I think she's so pretty.

Card Recipe
6x6 white base card, mink coloured bazzill card, first edition design papers, pale lilac
berisfords satin ribbon and hand tied bow, peach rosebuds from WOC and white opal
 liquid pearls

To colour this beautiful digi image I have used a selection of pro/flexmarkers in the
following colours
skin ~ coral, dusky pink, blush, almond and tea rose
hair ~ satin, tan, tawny owl and shale
orchids and blooms in her hair ~ pink mittens, lavender, iced pearl, amethyst,
starfish, honeycomb and burnt umber
I also used stardust gelly roll to highlight her hair too

Golden Wedding

Golden Wedding

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all well and have had a lovely weekend.
I've been making the most of the warmish weather and have spent some
time out in the gardens getting them ready for the summer. My poor back
has been protesting today so I think I may have overdone things a little lol,
but once I got started I just lost all track of time and I really wanted to tackle
the weeds while they're small and before they start to flower and seed. I've
also bought some new slug and snail pellets that are non poisonous to birds
and animals, because we had an awful lot of snails last year so I wanted to
make sure my plants weren't munched by the little beggers this year.

It was my Mam & Dads Golden Wedding last week too and this is the
card that I made for them.

Card Recipe
6x6 Ivory Card, Prima Fairy Belle Design Papers, Gold Mirri & White Super Smooth Card,

Marianne Anja Border and Circle Dies, SU Crumb Cake Ink Pad, Tim Holtz
Distress Ink Pad, Soft Gold Berisfords Satin Ribbon & Guipure Lace

Ivory Pearls, Mulberry, Lilies, Roses, Rosebuds and Blooms from WOC, Pretty
Topper from my crafty stash and Handmade Sentiment.

I'm going to tackle some spring cleaning today, sort through wardrobes
and bag some clothes, shoes and bags up for the charity shop. I hope that
you all enjoy the rest of today.

Aurora Wings Green Fairy

Sepia Toned Fairy

Hi everyone, I hope that you are all well and are having a fab week. Well spring is
almost here, the Summer Solstice is just around the corner and then the clocks
will be going forward, Yippee I'm so pleased and I'm so looking forward to the
warmer weather and the light nights. I love Spring when everything is bursting
into life and all the beautiful and colourful Spring blooms, I also love Autumn
for more or less the same reason, the colours are just stunning. I would  absolutely
love to visit New England in the Autumn, who knows maybe one day eh.

My post today is a card that I made using one of my favourite Aurora Wings
images, she's called "Green Fairy" and you can find her HERE I thought I
would have a go at colouring her up in sepia tones and I love the way she
turned out, I hope that you do too.

Card Recipe
6x6 white base card, white card, mink card, pale gold satin card, Marianne Anja die,
Anna Griffin embossing folder, mink silk ribbon, Making Memories glitter deco brad,
SU crumb cake ink pad, Ranger liquid pearls and various sized flat back pearls.

In this picture you can see where I used the SU crumbe cake ink pad on the Marianne die cut

And in this picture you may be able to see the pale gold satin card that I used for matting, I thought that this would look better than gold or silver mirri.

I used a selection of Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour this beautiful Aurora Wings
image, I then added some liquid pearls and to add some highlights to help lift the image
I used Gelly Roll.

This picture shows the pretty Anna Griffin embossing folder detail and also the blingy
Making Memories Glittery Brad in the centre of the hand tied silk bow.

My Beautiful Surprise

My Beautiful Surprise

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all warm and well. It's been so cold here on the
north east coast but I've been lovely and toasty since we had our new combi boiler
installed, usually at this time of year I'm sat cuddling the fire and wrapped in in
lots of layers, I can't believe the difference having the new boiler makes to how warm
the house's almost like the Bahamas lol.

As some of you who know me will already know it was my Birthday on
New Years Eve and as is usual every year I wait until all the festivities are all over with
and then I have a quiet night out with my Hubby. Well this year was no exception,
only unbeknown to me something rather special was winging it's way across
the pond. A few days after my Birthday a package arrived, I opened it and was
completely blown away by what was inside, but before I tell you what I found inside.....

After having been a huge fan of Mitzi Sato-Wiuff's breathtaking artwork for sometime and being
asked to join her Aurora Wings Design Team, I wrote to Mitzi a little while later
to ask her if she would design an image for my Daughters Leanne's Birthday,
she would have been 25 last June and we all miss her so much more than words can say.
To cut a long story short Mitzi created the most mesmerizingly
beautiful image "Leanne's Angel"  and I was completely blown away by her....

Well back to my package, can you imagine just how speechless I was to find that
Mitzi had sent me the original artwork that she created for
Leanne's Angel, I really don't think that there are any words that begin to describe
just how beautiful she is in reality. I was hoping to have her framed by now but I still haven't
found  just the right frame and mount as yet to show off my breathtaking artwork from Mitzi.

So without further ado here she is......

Isn't she just truly stunning.

Thank you so much for my beautiful surprise gift Mitzi, I will treasure her always,
as too I will our friendship

Christmas Stockings

Christmas Stockings

Hi everyone, I'm sorry that I've not been around very much lately, I've not been
very well, what I thought was just a chesty cough turned out to be fluid on the lung.
I just hope that all the steroids and other meds I've been pumped full of start to
work soon. I'm so far behind with sorting things and preparing for Christmas I don't
think that I will ever be able to catch up, but at least I've managed to put up the
Christmas decorations that I made several weeks ago and the tree is finally up now,
better late than never lol.
A couple of months ago I made some new tree decorations using Stampin-Up's
Ornament Keepsakes stamps and die bundle, I also made some new devore bows
& some Hessian Christmas Stockings and I had hoped to make some small
hessian treat bags to hand on the tree but I never got around to making them.

So here they are....I hope you like them.

Tree Decoration made with Stampin-Up Ornament Keepsakes Stamp and
die bundle

To make the decorations I've used ~ Stampin-Up's Ornament Keepsakes Stamps
and Dies, Stampin-Up's Crumb Cake Ink Pad and Impress Jet Black Ink Pad,
Large Bling Jewel, Ribbon and some Ivory Tulle.

To make the stockings I've used ~ Burlap,3.5" Wide Ivory Lace, White Berisfords
Christmas Ribbon, White Satin Ribbon Hand-tied bow, Large Pearl & Swarovski
Crystal Jewel, Strung Ivory Pearls, Silver bells Charms and Ivory Pearls.

Well I'm off to wrap up a few presents and before I go I would just like to
wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year.
