Tiddlyinks

Mom & Me

Hi everyone, today's post is a card that I made using my brand, shiny, new
be Creative alcohol pens that I bought from Hochanda after having seen my
friend Janet Babar's crafty makes using the pens I just had to have them lol.
So when I saw them being demo'd by Justin & Gordon Fraser on "Hochanda"
I decided to treat myself to the whole set of 96 pens :)
Well after finishing the dreaded housework I sat down at my desk to have
a play with my new pens and I absolutely love them, I thought that I would try
something fairly easy colouring wise and so had a go at colouring one of the
digi's that I've never got around to colouring up (and there are quite a few I'm
ashamed to say) the stamp is from Tiddlyinks and is called "Wryn - Mom & Me"
and you can find it HERE

To make this card I have used

Brown Bazzill, First Edition Isabelle & First Edition The Promise Design Papers,
Vintage Brown Seam Binding,
Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch and Brown Pearl gems

The be Creative pens I used are
131 White Skin
29 Barely Beige
143 Raw Silk
101 Yellow Ochre
36 Cream
142 Pale Cream
104 Brown Grey

You can find the pens HERE on Hochanda

For Ever Friends

Time for a Cutie

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all having a lovely weekend.
It's cold again here again but I really shouldn't grumble, the US
are having an horrendous time with a really bad snowstorm at the
moment and I just hope that all my crafty friends from across the
pond are staying warm and safe.

My card today is one that I made yesterday using one of
Chrishanthi's cute images, they are just so adorable. The one
that I've coloured up for my card is called "For Ever Friends"
and you can find it HERE in the Ppinkydollsart shop on Etsy.

I've used the following to make this card
Core'dinations, Non- shedding encapsulated silver glitter board,
NitWit Collections Bonnets & Bows by Mary Fran, Clear Gems,
Pink Satin & Organza ribbon and whimsy sentiment.

I coloured the image using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers and
also  some of the new be Creative alcohol pens.

Ice & Snow

Hi everyone, It's time for our first Challenge of 2016 at
and this time the theme is

ICE & SNOW
which perfectly coincides with the freezing,
cold weather that we are having here at the moment Brrrrr.
I have used Mitzi's beautiful "Snow Queen" digi for my Aurora Wings
DT make, you can find her HERE

Die'sire die, Pastel satin mirri, Silver Frantage, 1mm, 2mm, 4mm & 6mm AB crystals,
& Stardust Stickles

I coloured this beautiful digi using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers

I then added the AB Crystals one by one which took some time,

Monica

Monica

Hi everyone, I hope that you've all had a wonderful Christmas and a  very Happy New Year.
I'm so sorry that I've not been around for such a long time, I've only gone
and hurt my back again :( in the very same place that I hurt it falling two years ago.
Yesterday was the very first time that I'd sat at my craft desk and I managed to make
this Birthday Card.

I have used Hannah Lynn's "Monica" digi image

I coloured her using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment onto acetate

I hope that you like her :)

Snowman Treats

Snowman Treats

Hi everyone, I hope that you're all warm & well, Brrrr it's definitely turning rather
chilly here on the north east coast of the UK.
Well December is almost here and I don't know about you, but I have still so
much to do, I've still got cards to make, write out and send and lots of presents
still to buy, but I'm going to try to avoid the Christmas crowds this year and do
most of my shopping online, I think it will be far less stressful.

My post today is something that I made for a stocking filler for a friends little boy.
I made him a bag of snowman poop lol using a small cello bag, some mini
white marshmallows and the label was made using Mitzi's "WE LOVE SNOWMEN"
image which you can find in her Etsy shop by clicking on the link above.

I coloured this cut image using a selection of Pro/Flexmarkers and I added some
hunkydory Glitter to the fur trim on the snowman's hat.

Aurora Wings Challenge #20

Aurora Wings Challenge #20

Hi everyone, It's challenge time once again over at

And the theme this month is....

For my Aurora Wings DT make I have tried my hand at making a
wooden jewellery box together with a pendant which features a beautiful
Aurora Wings image called "PEACOCK MASQUERADE" which you will find
in Mitzi's Aurora Wings Etsy Store. You will also find the beautiful
"ROSE BORDER" digi  there too, that I've decoupaged and used on top of my
wooden jewellery box.

Things that I've used to make the Jewellery Box

Bare wood wooden lidded box which I then covered in the same wallpaper that I've
used to updo the drawer fronts of my pine bedroom drawers. I then painted the box with
primer and then added a coat of white acrylic satin.

I then coloured up Mitzi's gorgeous "ROSE BORDER" digi image in the same
colours that I've used my newly decorated bedroom. I coloured the image a further
three times and fussy cut and layered it up. Next I added the coloured image to the
top of the jewellery box and then covered over with a layer of construction strength
acetate.

I then added some ivory pearl trim around the top of the acetate to cover
the glue holding the acetate in place, I also added the pearl trim around the
base of the jewellery box and then again around the mirror inside the lid of
the box too.

I then lined the box with ivory satin (which was not the easiest of things to do lol)
and then as a finishing touch I added one of Tim Holtz's locks and keys embellishments.

Both the ROSE BORDER image and the PEACOCK MASQUERADE images
were coloured using a selection of Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

To make the pendant I used a silver oval cameo setting together with a glass
cabochon. I added the coloured PEACOCK MASQUERADE image and
then covered it with some Diamond Glaze, then popped the glass cabochon
on top and pressed down lightly to get rid of any air bubbles beneath the glass,
I then popped it onto a silver chain.

For more information on the new AURORA WINGS CHALLENGE, please pop over
to the Challenge blog where you will see some truly inspirational samples that my
lovely teamies have made for the challenge. We would really love for you
to come and join in all the fun.
